Yes! Dancing can be a very effective way to help reduce your overall weight. When you dance, you also engage in constant movement, which boost cardio and increases blood flow throughout your body. This elevated level accelerates your metabolism compared to when your body is at rest. You can continue regular dance, you will shed pounds gradually. It’s a fun and exciting way to stay active and work towards your weight loss goals.
Group classes are lessons taught by an instructor where you learn alongside other students. Private lessons, on the other hand, are one-on-one sessions with your instructor. They provide an exclusive and personalized learning experience.
At the Dance Connection, we welcome students all ages. Currently attending students range from five years old to ninety-years old. The decision to join us is entirely up to the individual student, there are no age limits. We firmly believe that everyone can enjoy the benefit from dance, regardless of their age.
It’s highly recommended that you wear appropriate dance shoes, from day one. They will you with proper footwork and technique right from the start.
Generally speaking, dance lessons are more affordable than many other hobbies these days. How often you take dance lessons will determine how much you need to budget for them.
Dancing is a wonderful way to help connect with your loved one. It offers the opportunity to learn something new together, spend quality time with your partner, and develop deeper physical connection. Dancing can help you reconnect with your partner and facilitate better communication between you both. It’s an excellent way to create shared memories and strengthen your bond.
Dancing is truly a unique activity in that it promotes both good physical and intellectual performance. Yes, our dance studio and facilities are equipped with change rooms and washrooms.
Business hours are from Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. On Saturdays at 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Don't worry, we've got a level for everyone!
Here's the breakdown:
Beginner: "I've never danced before!" + "I'm a little rusty."
Beginner/Intermediate: "I need more more challenge."
Intermediate: "I've been trained in dance before."
Intermediate/Advanced: "I'm ready to dance with the best."
Advanced: "master of the universe."
On arrival, please check in so we can ensure your ready to play. Stop by the front desk to get setup for class. Even if your already registered online, we still need you to check in with us before you hit the dance floor.
The Dance Connection and our instructors are here to support you every step of the way. Let us know of any injuries before class, and we will ensure you are setup with modifications to keep you safe. Please note that you should use discretion, as we are not responsible for any further injury.
Class capacity varies based on the size of the studio and we always prioritize the safety and comfort of our students, so we always make sure there is enough space for everyone to dance safely and comfortably.
We know you’re busy, but we highly recommend you to arrive at least 10 minutes before class to check in so you can get right to work!
In most cases, age restrictions don’t apply. However, if you’re under the age of 18 it is suggested that you’ve had some previous dance experience. Alos note that some classes have an age restriction of 16 or above.

Our classes fill up very quickly, but don’t worry! If a class if full, we will add you to our wait list. If a spot opens up, we’ll notify you by email or phone call to let you know you’re in. If you don’t hear from us, make sure to come in anyway in case someone doesn’t show up! You might just find a spot!
Mostly interact e-transfer, and cash. If alterntative payment methods are required, let us know so we can make proper arragements.

We want you to have sufficient time to plan your next dance event! You can book your class up to seven days in advance. So, if class starts on a Monday, the earliest you can book is the Monday prior.
Payment is required to your reserve and guarantee a spot in class, but we promise it’s worth it.
